Brief: The Strategic Communications team were tasked to increase the number of mentions in the press for the online brokerage.
Our Approach:
Strategic Communications: Journalists are bombarded with content from knowledgeable sources at large corporations, including from the major investment banks and financial firms. A smaller company would struggle to compete with these titans to gain more visibility without a strategic plan.
Our Strategic Communications team knew first-hand what kind of content would be best suited and attractive to the press. We carried out research directly with the relevant journalists to verify and refine our theory. From here the team structured a plan of focused daily content, delivered at a specific time, in a structured format, to the most relevant journalists.
Results: The client’s media mentions shot up by over 800%. Our original remit, initially for English media only, grew to cover five other languages. Further, the clients’ analysts appeared as guest speakers on broadcast media (CNBC, BBC), and were regularly quoted in tier-one media, plus specialist publications.
